The Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), India’s leading ship building yard located on the western coast in south India, has converted a fishing vessel into a seismic survey ship for the Singapore-based company Nordic.
The newly developed Mangalore Port on India’s western coast has registered a growth of about three per cent in cargo handling in the first nine months of the current financial year, following increased handling of project cargo, fertiliser, iron ore fines, lime stone and cement, among others.
GMG Airlines, the largest private-sector airline based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, will soon resume flights on several international routes: Bangkok, Delhi and Singapore.
Nepal to import power from India to overcome power crisis
Nepal will import 20 Mega Watt power from Tanakpur in India to overcome its severe power crisis.
The total duration of daily power failure in Nepal is to reach close to 16 hours next month, from the current 12 hours black out.
Meanwhile the recently completed 70 MW capacity Middle-Marsyangdi Hydropower Project in Nepal is scheduled to become fully operational after two weeks.
